MDSM has set-up and maintaining three child care institutions recognized under the Juvenile Justice Act to ensure the standards prescribed in the UNCRC on the rights of the child and provisions made in the Constitution of India pertaining to their needs and human rights.
Health Screening For Children
Health screening benefits the overall health of the child.It is through regular checkups and tests that physicians can identify potential health problems. Many childhood health problems can be corrected before they become a health problem that the child carries into adulthood.In our organization our children go through regular health screening,have healthy eating habits and do regular physical activities that helps them learn healthy living habits which can last a lifetime.
Recreational activities are must for every child for their personal development and growth in both physical and mental health.In our organization every child enjoys the lesiure time in his/her favourite outdoor and indoor games such as cricket,football,kabadi,carrom,ludo,etc which helps in improving their self esteem and reduces stress.Through regular practice and good training many of our childrens have participated in national and state level events and have received accolades for the same.
In our organisation many of our childrens are having very good artistic abilities that are reflected through handicrafts.They also create masterpieces using materials such as used plastic,newspapers,cardboards,etc which helps them improve their innovative skills. 
In our organization our children are given fitness training by professionals as fitness should be in regime of every individual. With proper training one can acheive the condition of being strong and healthy. We start our everyday with basic physical training before doing our other day to day routine works which gives us the perfect balance.
Trees are the main source of oxygen we breathe,fruits and vegetables we eat,so we should protect and preserve our environment.In our organization tree plantation is done by each individual as it our duty to keep our mother earth clean and healthy. A person who cares for the environment is a great example for others to follow the same path.
In our organization with all other activities we like our children to go on shot trips to malls,local markets to develop their interests in outside world which will help them grow outside knowledge.Picnics are organised every year for all our childrens so that they discover new places and refresh their minds.
In our organization performing arts such as live plays,singing,dancing are given very much importance. For that our childrens are trained by professionals which opens up another way of showing their talent and grow accordingly in their respective careers.Our childrens have also represented us in many high level competitions and have gained accolades.
In our organization our childrens are given basic dairy training so that they develop their love and interest towards animals.Cow is the main source of milk in our daily lives,so we should first learn to respect and nurture a cow from whom we get our dairy products..

Children’s Home is an institutional set-up established by MDSM in Dhenkanal district, Odisha to house the children in need of care and protection. There is adequate infrastructure coupled with dedicated work force for care and protection, health care, education, boarding and lodging facility, vocational training and rehabilitation of the children. Promotion of standardised services to the residents by adopting child friendly approach based on individual care plan is the core value of the institution. It is registered under Section 50 of the Juvenile Justice (Care and Protection of Children) Act, 2015 to promote such services for 100 children.
Open Shelter, Kathagada, Dhenkanal-759001, Odisha
This is a community based facility, established and maintained in Dhenkanal Municipality of Odisha under Section 43 (1) of the Juvenile Justice (Care and Protection of Children) Act, 2015 for children in need of residential support, on short term basis, with the objective of protecting them from abuse or weaning them or keep them away from a life on the streets. The services provided in Open Shelter includes day care and night residential facility including food, washing facilities, toilets and other facilities directed by the government from time to time. It never refuses admission to any child in need of care and protection at any point of time.
Specialized Adoption Agency, Kathagada, Dhenkanal-759001, Odisha
Specialized Adoption Agency (SAA) is an institution established in the district head quarter of Dhenkanal by MDSM and recognized by the State Government for housing orphan, abandoned and surrendered children by the order of the Child Welfare Committee (CWC) for their rehabilitation through adoption and non-institutional form of care. It ensures getting of children legally free for adoption from CWC, completes home study report of the prospective adoptive parents and obtains adoption order from the court in stipulated time. Other Child Care Institutions of the district are linked with SAA for placement of legally free children in adoption.
